Hiring a space

Do you want to show a film or use our PA for a performance? We can support you with our own equipment or co-ordinate how you bring and set up your own kit. Please email us with details of what you hope to do and what you will need.
If you need to arrange deliveries, please talk to our team. We are flexible to support events with our volunteers and will agree details with you beforehand.
We set out how you can expect to find the space and how we ask you to leave it at the end. This includes things like the rules we must follow to run public events and how to deal with rubbish and tidy up. We do this as part of the booking process.
MIC café is the place where small things are handed in. If you leave something big behind, let us know so we can put it somewhere safe. We are insured for our own equipment but not for anyone else's but we always aim to help.
When you make an enquiry or booking we will tell you what comes with the space and what else we can offer to support you.

We source all our food and drink locally wherever possible and always know the source - so please do ask in the café.
We indicate ingredients which we know are allergens on our menu. Please ask if you want to know ingredients.
Our opening times are on the homepage of our website and noticeboard outside the front door of the MIC centre. They are pretty regular but can change to allow for café bookings where there is a special event.
We do not take advance bookings for regular café drop-in visits but we can arrange a special meal or gathering if you book with us. See our space hire page for contact details.
Yes, we are inviting different sizes of groups and will always try to accommodate special needs. Please see our handbook for our accessibility statement and use our contact page to get in touch.
